About This Course
Overview of the course
Breastfeeding Facilitator is a course certified by HSSC (Healthcare Sector Skill Council) with ARTIST for her ( Asian Research & Training Institute for Skill Transfer) as a training partners in association with SAFOG and FOGSI. The course is been support by BSV. This program is influenced by the evolving healthcare landscape, the growing emphasis on maternal and infant health, and the recognition of the vital role played by skilled lactation support professionals in promoting successful breastfeeding practices and maternal-infant well-being. The course covers essential topics such, breastfeeding techniques, common challenges, and solutions, and the benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and child. Nutrition for Breastfeeding mother. Participants will learn how to provide practical support to breastfeeding mothers, including counseling techniques and strategies for creating a breastfeeding-friendly environment and mental health. The curriculum also addresses cultural and social factors that may influence breastfeeding practices. Through a combination of online modules and hands-on practice, and case studies, the nurses, community workers, will develop the confidence and competence to facilitate successful breastfeeding experiences.
